Anwar Ibrahim writes to Anwar Online visitors

Dear Surfers,

In the four months that Anwar Online has been in operation, thousands of e-mail messages
have been sent to me through the webmaster, offering sympathy, encouragement and
prayers for me and my family. They come from people of all walks of life from all over the
world, including Malaysians residing or studying overseas. However, as far as it is possible to
discern from the addresses and other references in the messages, the vast majority of
correspondents are ordinary Malaysians who feel the need to show that they care about truth,
decency and justice and are concerned about where our country is heading.

I am deeply touched by the support shown to me personally and to the causes I espouse. I
wish it was possible to reply separately to each correspondent, but even under ordinary
circumstances, I would need a staff of writers to draft the replies. I am told that even as I write
this, there are still nearly 400 messages on the server that the webmaster has yet to
download. But rest assured that all messages are being delivered to me through Azizah in
steady batches.

I have asked the webmaster to try to publish some of the letters, or at least parts of them, so
that some of the interesting viewpoints could be shared more widely among websurfers. He
says he will try to find the space. In the meantime, keep the mail coming.

God bless you.

Salam Reformasi,
